Red Hat Poem

My dress is kinda' purple
My hat is 'flamin' red
It covers up the grey hairs
Now sprouting from my head
I know I look distinguished
And my clothes are oh so 'loud'
But I'm a member of the 'Red Hat Brigade'
And of that......I'm very proud!

Thought for the Day

The older one gets, the more one feels that the present must be enjoyed;

it is a precious gift, comparable to a state of grace.

Sisters' Week

Be the kind of woman
that when your feet
hit the floor each
morning the devil says
"Oh Crap, She's up!"

Sister
Life is too short to wake up with regrets.
So love the people who treat you right.
Love the ones who don't just because you can.
Believe everything happens for a reason.
If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands.
If it changes your life, let it.
Kiss slowly.
Forgive quickly.
God never said life would be easy.
He just promised it would be worth it.

Today is sister's day, send this to all your sisters,
mothers, daughters, girlfriends even me if I am like one. ?
If you get back 7,
you are loved.
Happy Sister's Day!

I LOVE YA SISTA'!!! :-)

Girlfriend and Sister's Week
I am only as strong as the coffee I drink,
the hair spray I use and
the friends I have.
To the cool women that have
touched my life. Here's to you!

National Girlfriends Day
What would most of us do without our sisters, confidants and shopping, lunching, and traveling girls?
Let's celebrate each other for each other's sake!
TO MY GIRLFRIENDS!

If you get this twice
you know you have more
than one girlfriend.
Be Happy!

Remember the Warmer Times

When temperatures are in the teens and snow depth is the same as the temperature, we need to think back on warmer times like a luau.

That's the Red Hats

That's Amore! The Fun and Fabulous Red Hats (Tucson, Arizona, United States) have a talented poetess in their midst! For a recent outing to an Italian food restaurant, Princess Poet Alice Lopez penned the following song! (Hint: it's sung to the tune of "That's Amore!")

That's the Red Hats

When you hear those kazoos
And you don't feel the blues
That's the Red Hats!
When the world seems to shine
And you're feeling just fine
That's the Red Hats!
Bells will ring ting-aling-aling
And you'll sing "Vita bella"
Hearts will play tippy-tippy-tay, tippy-tippy-tay
Like a gay tarantella.

When this song makes you laugh
Like a silly giraffe
That's the Red Hats!
When you dance down the street
Purple Shoes on your feet
You're with friends
When you walk in a dream
But you know you're not dreaming
Scuzza me, but you see
Back in old Napoli
That's the Red Hats!
That's the Red Hats!

A Movie To See

Recommended on Red Hat Society Website. Looks like a good movie to see:

Attention all Red Hatters!

Be among the first to see the movie that has audiences and critics cheering. Academy Award® winners Dustin Hoffman (Rain Man) and Emma Thompson (Sense and Sensibility) reunite in Last Chance Harvey, a hopeful romance that celebrates new beginnings—at any age. It's about first loves, last chances and everything in between. Peter Travers of Rolling Stone writes "Richly funny and touching, it's too good to resist."
